A new Take 5 Oil Change location will soon be opening in Longmont, Colorado, the Longmont Reader reports.
The new location will replace a former Pizza Hut, which closed down around the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The chain has since relocated to other spots in town, leaving its former north Main Street building vacant ever since.
Take 5 franchisee Kelly Mayer chose the location because of the traffic volume, being located near a King Soopers grocery store, as well as the building’s high visibility and accessibility. The original structure will be torn down to construct a new building for the Take 5 business.
While Mayer owns other Take 5 locations in Arvada and Loveland, this will be his first location built from the ground up. He expects it to be ready for business sometime in August.
“Ninety percent of the services we provide are just oil changes,” said Mayer. “We just leave all that to others. We're trying to just do one thing very simply and do it fast and do it friendly.”
