Premier Oil Change Constructing Second Redding, California, Location

Premier Oil Change is constructing a second location in Redding, California, reports Record Searchlight.

The business opened its first Shasta County location in Palo Cedro in 2011 before first coming to Redding five years later. Now, a sign at the corner of East Cypress Avenue and Larkspur Lane advertises the new store coming.

The entire frontage from the corner of Larkspur and East Cypress east to the Rite Aid store was purchased for the new location. The business will also have a car wash segment. The oil change segment will be on the corner, with bays facing East Cypress Street. Customers will enter from Larkspur and pull into the bays, facing the north, according to owner Matt Webb.

Due to the popularity of their first location, Webb said that Premier sought out a more central spot for the second store—however, there were some reservations about its development.

“The city wasn’t super excited about automotive going in there when we went and first talked to them, but I think they have warmed up to it since then,” said Webb.

The oil change segment of the new store is expected to open this fall, with the car wash estimated for 2026 or early 2027.

“I think there is a strong demand for convenient automotive services and I think every community we have been in has been very supportive of what we’re doing, being a small, locally owned business,” Webb said. “And of course we have built a good team.”
