A ribbon cutting was held on Thursday morning, January 17, at Bladen Express Lube and Tire in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. The well attended event included a barbecue lunch.
Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dawn Maynard welcomed the business to the town and also welcomed them as a new Chamber member.
Elizabethtown Mayor Sylvia Campbell also welcomed the business to the town. She said, “I do want, on behalf of the town of Elizabethtown, to officially welcome you and thank you for choosing Elizabethtown. We certainly do appreciate that.”
Scott Gordon is the owner of Bladen Express Lube and Tire. The business is in the location of the former Shell Lube on Peanut Plant Road.
Gordon was joined by his wife, Misty, for the ribbon cutting.
“Basically, we just opened up here to try to help the community a little better with their needs as far as automobiles go,” said Gordon.
Gordon said their services will include general repairs, oil changes, brakes, tire changes, and car inspections.
“We want to do what we can to help people,” said Gordon.
He said he is very excited and looking forward to assisting customers with their auto care needs.
Gordon is no stranger to running his own business. He currently operates another business called Bladen Offroad in Bladenboro. Gordon has owned that business since November 21, 2016.
“We’re doing great there. We’ve got a lot of customers who enjoy coming to see us and enjoy having us work on their vehicles,” said Gordon.
He said an expansion is also in the works for Bladen Offroad in Bladenboro.
