Zoning Ordinance Amended To Allow for Take 5 Oil Change in Celina, Texas

Oct. 17, 2024
An amendment to a zoning ordinance permitting auto repair was granted, allowing the Take 5 to move forward.

Plans for a Take 5 Oil Change in Celina, Texas, recently received approval from City Council, reports Community Impact.

The new store has been slated for a one-acre site at the corner of Preston Road and Frontier Parkway, north of a recently opened McDonald’s.

In order for the plans to proceed, an amendment to a zoning ordinance that would permit auto repair was needed. At Celina City Council’s Oct. 8 meeting, though, they approved amending the ordinance.

An opening date has not yet been released for the Celina Take 5. According to the company's website, the closest Take 5 Oil Change for drivers in Celina would be half an hour away in McKinney, Texas, as of now.

Most recently, the brand is also planning for further expansion in Fort Worth, Texas.
