A driver at Pit Stop USA in Eugene lost control, crashing into the worker waving them in and through the bay doors.

A customer losing control of their vehicle at a Eugene, Oregon, quick lube has led to the driver and a shop employee injured, reports KEZI 9 News.

On Jan. 8, around 8:54 a.m., the driver of a transit van at Pit Stop USA was being waved in to the bay by an employee before the driver lost control, driving straight through to the other side. Another local news outlet, KVAL News, confirmed that the incident resulted in Pit Stop’s bay doors becoming damaged.

But the accident was much more serious than damaged bay doors, with the driver having crashed into the shop employee, through glass garage doors and into a tree outside and some power line cables, according to KEZI.

The worker sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, along with the driver, who was evaluated. Authorities closed off one lane of traffic and are currently investigating what the cause behind the accident was.
