The Auto Care Association has announced the winners of its annual awards at the recent Fall Leadership Days and Legislative Summit event in Washington, D.C., according to a press release.
The 2023 Mort Schwartz Excellence in Education Award was given to Fred Bunting, founder of Auto-Wares Group of Companies. Bunting has sponsored Tech Expos and has won other awards for his dedication to industry training. His own company has won national awards for its internal training, such as “Head of the Class.”
The ACE (Auto Care Career and Education) Award is given to companies that have committed to providing education in their organization or throughout the industry. In the small business category, dott.–standing for 'diversity of thought'–was named the winner. Winning in the mid-size business category was ABC Auto Parts. The large company winner was Auto-Wares Group of Companies.
Finally, winners of the Impact Award: Four for the Future were announced, recognizing four auto care industry professionals under age 40 who have made advances in their careers or demonstrated skills in leadership.
The four winners were Joseph DeLorme, director of product management at Dorman Products, Inc.; Chelsea Scally, associate director of global mobility at S&P Global; Shawn Senior, president of Eastern Warehouse Distributors, Inc.; and Cynthia Talamantes, creative director of sales and marketing at Global Parts Distributors.
