Toyota Expands Fuel Pump Recall to Include Over 800 Additional Vehicles

Jan. 28, 2025
First issued in 2020, the recall has been expanded to include another 858 vehicles.

Toyota has expanded a previous recall surrounding faulty fuel pumps to include over 800 additional vehicles, reports MassLive.

First issued on Jan. 13, 2020, the recall had already been amended three times that year. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the problem lies with the low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank being prone to failure.

As of Jan. 22, 2025, that recall has now been expanded again, adding approximately 858 more vehicles. According to NHTSA’s website, the expansion added certain 2018 Camry, 2019 Lexus NX300, and 2019 RX350L vehicles.

Dealers will replace recalled fuel pumps, with owners of vehicles added to the recall to be notified by March 9.
