Sun Auto Tire & Service Fundraises Over $17K for Food Banks Through Oil Changes

Sun Auto Tire & Service donated more than $17,000 to food banks across the U.S. as part of its Giving Tuesday initiative, the company recently shared in a press release.

On Dec. 2, 2024, a portion of every oil change performed at Sun Auto locations across the country was contributed to the fundraiser as part of the company’s Giving Tuesday campaign. Raising a total of over $17,000, Sun Auto was able to provide donations to 35 Feeding America good banks across the country.

The list included St. Mary’s Food Bank in Arizona, which received $1,560—enough to provide 7,800 meals. Second Harvest Heartland in Minnesota received $1,320, in part due to matching funds from local donors. It will be enough to provide nearly 8,000 meals.

“Giving back is a responsibility we take seriously at Sun Auto Tire & Service. We’re not just here to service vehicles—we’re here to empower people and support our neighbors in meaningful ways,” said Sun Auto CEO Tony Puckett. “We’re proud to play a role in helping these critical organizations provide meals to families across the country. Our hope is that they can focus on their futures instead of worrying about their next meal.”
