ASE Offering Online Training Course for Entry-Level Automotive Service Techs
For those looking for entry-level training resources, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is offering an exclusively online program, ASE Introduction to Automobile Service, as shared in a recent press release.
Comprised of four online training modules and a quiz, the program is designed with aspiring or current entry-level service technicians. Any service professionals interested in this specialty area, including service writers and parts professionals, are also encouraged to take the course.
Besides the training modules, the program also provides a glossary, as well as a safety zone section to educate on proper safety practices.
The program is also intended as the first step in potential future ASE certifications. Those who complete the program will be offered a custom certificate of completion to print out. It can be accessed through the ASE Campus website.
“The ASE IAS program was created in response to industry interest in an ASE product aimed at prospective and new members of the automotive service industry,” told ASE President and CEO Dave Johnson. “This online program is designed to familiarize them with basic automobile service tasks and serve as a foundation for future ASE certifications.”
