A vehicle service center in Fayetteville, North Carolina, recently used its role in the community to empower local women with training in automotive maintenance, according to WKML 95.7.

This past Saturday, a free car care clinic called Gals In the Garage was held at Black’s Tire & Auto Service, located at 3226 Bragg Boulevard.

Participants were taught by ASE-certified technicians on various basic maintenance tasks. This included checking a vehicle’s tire pressure, checking oil and other fluid levels, checking an air filter, installing a spare tire, and more.

According to the shop’s post about the event on Facebook, it shared with customers that more events like this are planned to be held in the future.

“Join us to empower more women with essential knowledge about the automotive world,” read the shop’s promotion for the event.
