The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation has named John Kairys as its new executive director in a recent press release.

With nearly 40 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, Kairys was most recently the vice president of TBC Corporation’s parts and service group, having led a nine-year career with the company that included other roles such as vice president and general manager of its Big O Tires franchise and vice president and general manager of Carroll/NTW Tire.

In addition, Kairys has held executive positions at Cooper Tire, Pirelli, and NAPA, and has been a member of several executive committees, including AACF’s Board of Trustees.

“We are thrilled to welcome John Kairys as the new Executive Director of AACF,” said AACF President Jon Owens. “John’s extensive experience and deep commitment to the automotive aftermarket industry make him the ideal leader to guide our foundation into the future. His passion for helping others aligns perfectly with our mission to support individuals and families during their most challenging times.”

AACF also announced the promotion of Misty Walker, who has worked part-time as an administrative assistant for over nine years. She will now serve full-time as an operations manager.

“Misty has been tremendous in managing the administrative tasks of the Foundation,” stated Kairys. “Her continued commitment and expertise will be invaluable not only to the Foundation, but to me personally as we expand our efforts to support those in need within the automotive aftermarket community.”
