Wichita, Kansas Jiffy Lubes Participate in Winter Clothes Drive
Jiffy Lube has partnered with a Wichita, Kansas news station to collect winter clothes for the community, KAKE reports.
The annual Warm Hearts coat drive has provided thousands of coats and other winter apparel for those in need in Sedgwick County.
Local news station KAKE has participated in the initiative since 1986 and has partnered with local Jiffy Lube locations and In the Bag Cleaners to collect winter apparel that will be distributed by the Salvation Army for the 2024 winter season.
This year, the Salvation Army provided 2,000 coats to the Wichita community. For 2024, Warm Hearts doesn’t have a set goal but is motivated to keep the momentum going, according to Aaron Lair, creative director at KAKE.
Through January 12, donations of new and gently used coats, gloves, hats, or scarves will be accepted at KAKE Studios on West Street and any In the Bag Cleaners or Jiffy Lube location in Wichita. In the Bag Cleaners will clean donated clothing items for free, ensuring that recipients are given clean, warm clothes.
