The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence will host a free service technician webinar called "A Lift Safety Discussion," according to a press release. The webinar will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
The technical team from the Automotive Lift Institute will be on the webinar to discuss lift safety requirements as well as industry changes in this area as related to the rising electric vehicle demand. Other topics covered in the webinar will include:
- Health and safety requirements for operator training;
- Annual lift inspections;
- Markings that confirm electrical and mechanical listing;
- Existing building code requirements;
- Industry practices;
- General duty clause from OSHA
