The Auto Care Association has announced its new director of government affairs to be Jennifer Keaton, according to a press release.
Keaton will be working within a four-person department that will represent the interests of the automotive aftermarket in relation to federal and state legislators as well as regulatory agencies.
Prior to this role, Keaton served as vice president of congressional affairs at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
She has a decade of experience working on Capitol Hill, where she worked as a legislative director for Representative Mary Jo Kilroy of Ohio, a senior legislative assistant for Representative Carolyn Maloney of New York, and as a legislative aide for Representative Ron Klink of Pennsylvania.
Originating from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Keaton gained undergraduate degrees in political science and international studies before gaining a master’s in international affairs from American University in Washington, D.C.
