Steer and Droptop Announce Partnership

Aug. 16, 2024
The customer retention management software program and the quick lube management system are coming together to provide shop solutions.

Steer, a customer marketing and communications platform, and Droptop, a cloud-based quick lube shop management system, have announced a new partnership.

Vasilios Karagiannis, co-founder and CEO at Droptop, and Gregg Rainville, SVP at Steer, told NOLN about the innovative approach the partnership takes on quick lube operations, with an aim at providing an opportunity to engage with newer technology to an industry that has historically leaned a little more toward physical pen-and-paper processes.

Steer is a customer retention management platform that helps shops automate communications and marketing, and Droptop is a shop management system that’s built with the needs of quick lube operations in mind—with invoices, scheduling, and more.

Through this partnership, Rainville emphasized the desire and ability to change quick lube technology for the better, and there is support behind this implementation—it's not just a matter of handing over software and leaving shop teams to figure it out.

Both Droptop and Steer help with integration and setup to ensure a smooth transition. Additionally, the Steer and Droptop platforms “speak” to each other every five-to-10-minutes to ensure access to up-to-date information.

Aiding in the move from an older system that a shop owner has used for years into an experience that involves newer technology is an exciting prospect for this partnership.

Speaking from his own experience, Karagiannis commented that he’s worked with Droptop customers who begin their process with the software by still printing off materials as they previously had, only to move completely digital with ease as they continue to use it—as the Droptop software is built for.

On the Steer and Droptop partnership webpage, key components of potential success for customers include increased car counts, a boost to online presence, bringing customers back for services they previously opted out of, and encouraging repeat business opportunities.
