April 6, 2021—A Jiffy Lube employee was rushed into emergency surgery after a customer mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake and slammed into the worker, Local 10 reported.
The worker is expected to survive, authorities told the outlet. A second worker was also hit and was treated at the scene.
The incident happened at a Jiffy Lube in Miami-Dade County in Florida. Police say the customer was trying to pull forward for service when she mixed up the pedals and accidentally hit the gas.
