July 7, 2021—A new Valvoline service center is under construction in Ohio.
A report from Y-City News says the location has been in the works for about a year and will be built in the northern part of Zanesville, which is about 50 miles east of Columbus on Interstate 70.
The center will include both quick oil and full service stations, which is what caused the delay in approval; according to the report, any enterprise "wishing to develop or establish an auto body shop must receive approval by the Board of Zoning Appeals."
Valvoline will build its new location in the Colony Square Mall with the option to purchase the property from the mall.
No information about when the store may open was not made immediately available.
