Jiffy Lube Launches EV Repair Pilot Program

Sept. 1, 2021

Jiffy Lube is testing a complete service package for electric vehicles at seven stores across the country.

Sept. 1, 2021—Jiffy Lube earlier this week launched a complete service package for electric vehicles at seven stores across the country.

The package, called the Electric Vehicle Signature Service, is a pilot program to see how well the company can handle EVs in their shops, according to a report from Forbes. The package includes general services such as multi-point safety inspections and tire rotations, as well as more focused offerings geared toward an EV's battery.

"Consumers have really transitioned to wanting more of a one-stop shop for all of their auto-maintenance needs, and we’ve evolved,” Jiffy Lube President Edward Hymes said in the report. “Maintenance now is much more important in how consumers view vehicles ... it’s an investment for them, and they want to maintain it for longer.”

The seven shops are located in California, Oregon, Texas and Florida, which have a higher number of EVs on the road.
