Dimple Mahajan, a Duluth, Ga.-based real estate agent/consultant, has opened a Meineke Car Care Centers franchise in Alpharetta, becoming the first female sole proprietor of a Meineke franchise.
The new location is a greenfield construction in a northern neighborhood of Alpharetta, a northern suburb of Atlanta with about 65,000 residents. It has six service bays and is based on Meineke's updated store design/layout.
Ms. Mahajan did not disclose the investment to build the center, which is the first Meineke location in Alpharetta and 26th in Georgia.
Meineke franchisor Driven Brands Inc. said this is Ms. Mahajan's first franchise, but did not elaborate on whether she has concrete plans for more.
There are more than 950 Meineke Car Care Centers outlets in the U.S. and 40 more in Canada. Earlier this year Meineke President Danny Rivera told franchisees at the group's annual meeting that the franchisor expected up to 50 Meineke locations to open this year.
