After a three-year process, which included a change of proposed location, Honest-1 Auto Care is now busy building its first Spring Hill location.
The national chain of auto maintenance and repair shops emphasizes its eco-friendliness and its open-book policy with customers and is located at the intersection of Reserve Boulevard and Port Royal Road, next to Bojangles.
The owner of the Spring Hill franchise, which broke ground earlier this month, is Rod Hollman. After spending the past 35 years in the healthcare industry traveling constantly, Hollman was interested in the auto-care franchise because it gave him a chance to settle down and settle into the Spring Hill community, while also providing a helpful service.
As its name might imply, Honest-1’s service model involves complete transparency and specificity to its customers about the work being done on their car. This includes using automated digital technology to show people just what work is being done, which they can observe while they wait.
The shop’s plans first entered the Spring Hill planning process in 2014, at a different location: on the same property as the Port Royal Kroger. But it turned out to not be a good fit, and after that plan gained approval, things stalled.
The current property is a better location for the shop, for which Hollman will have 25 parking spaces, to be used to put cars needing or finished with service, as well as customer parking.
According to a press release, Hollman and his wife Peggy have lived in the Nashville area for the past 18 years. Now that ground has been broken, the estimated opening date for the shop is March of 2018.
