SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service this week presented the National Breast Cancer Foundation with the results of its October fundraiser this year, according to a press release.

The fundraiser held throughout October, in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, donated a portion of every oil change to the fundraiser. The initiative was first started by Linna Alcoser, a SpeeDee owner in Metairie, Louisiana, and has since become an annual campaign.

Following the fundraiser in October, the company has made a $50,000 donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. A check presentation ceremony was held on Dec. 10 at a SpeeDee store in Dallas, Texas, at 14014 Montfort Dr., with National Breast Cancer Foundation representatives in attendance.

“Supporting our communities is at the heart of what we do, and we’re grateful for the chance to contribute to the fight against breast cancer by advancing resources and education for early detection and prevention,” said Scott Accardo, Vice President of Operations at SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service. “This donation reflects the collective commitment of our team and customers to make a meaningful impact for individuals and families impacted by this disease.”
