Honda has issued a recall of over 200,000 vehicles in the U.S. for an issue that could cause a fuel leak and risk of fire, reports USA Today.
A total of 205,760 vehicles are covered in the recall, comprised of certain 2023-24 Passports and 2023-25 Pilots.
According to NHTSA, the recall was prompted by a risk of the fuel filler neck tube and fuel filler pipe becoming separated. This would enable fuel to leak, which could cause a fire if in proximity to an ignition source.
Owners of recalled vehicles will not begin receiving letters until Jan. 6, 2025. Dealers are being instructed to inspect the fuel filler neck and pipe, and repair them if needed.
