This year saw Lubrizol release two new additive products in addition to several other expansions, as shared in a recent press release.
Among growing its manufacturing processes and the release of several new products was the unveiling of Lubrizol PV1710, an engine oil additive for passenger cars.
Created in compliance with the latest ILSAC GF-7 credential, the PV1710 additive is also capable of reaching Dexos 1 specification as well.
Lubrizol’s other new additive, CV9660, is instead intended for heavy-duty use, with a focus on lubricant technology that will decrease emissions, extend engine lifespan, and improve performance.
“The biggest shift for Lubrizol is we are now moving faster than ever before,” stated Lubrizol’s VP of Innovation & Decision Science, Abhishek Shrivastava. “We have adopted an agile innovation model—start small, learn fast, fail early, scale quickly. We are taking a lot of small bets in big domains. We are not just providing chemistry or products; we are enabling solutions to significant world problems.”
