Grease Monkey, SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service Recognized for Work With Vets
Grease Monkey and SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service, a pair of FullSpeed Automotive brands, once again have been recognized among the top franchise companies for veterans in rankings published by Entrepreneur Magazine.
Coming in at No. 7 in the 2024 rankings, Grease Monkey landed on the Top Franchises for Veterans list for a seventh straight year. SpeeDee ranked No. 27, marking its sixth straight appearance on the Entrepreneur list.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be recognized for another year by Entrepreneur as a Top Franchise for Veterans,” FullSpeed Automotive President Ron Stilwell said in a news release. “Supporting veterans is at the heart of who we are, and we’re proud to provide them with the opportunities and resources they need to thrive in franchise ownership. Veterans bring invaluable leadership, discipline, and work ethic to the table, and we’re committed to doing all that we can to set them up for success as franchisees.”
For both Grease Monkey and SpeeDee, supporting veterans includes being IFA VetFran members and offering $10,000 off franchise fees for vets, as well as rebates on royalty fees for their first two years.
“FullSpeed brands offer an incredible program for veterans, whether they’re aspiring entrepreneurs or seasoned business owners,” said Garland Moore, a retired Army National Guard officer and SpeeDee franchisee. “They go above and beyond to attract and support veterans, providing tailored programs and offering discounts to help veteran franchisees to hit the ground running.”
In compiling its Top Franchises for Veterans rankings, Entrepreneur reviewed applications from nearly 500 companies. Applicants were evaluated based on their incentives offered to veterans, number of units owned by veterans, franchise giveaways or contests for veterans, and other factors. Each company’s 2024 Franchise 500 score, which is based on an analysis of more than 150 data points, were also factored into the rankings.
