Women in Auto Care named the 2024 recipients of its awards at AAPEX yesterday, according to a press release.
Lifetime Achievement: Tina Hubbard
President and CEO of HDA Truck Pride, Hubbard began her career in the aftermarket 35 years ago at Federal-Mogul.
Shortly after, Hubbard would go on to become the first female Heavy Duty Fleet Specialist.
“For 35 years, I have watched this industry slowly evolve. We should be proud of how far we’ve come, but there’s still a long way to go,” said Hubbard. “Women in Auto Care has done an amazing job of engaging, educating and empowering women.”
Outstanding Achievement: Sheila Sarkozi
Sarkozi currently serves as the senior industry and growth marketing manager at RepairPal, with over a decade of experience in automotive aftermarket marketing.
A board member and head of the marketing committee at the Automotive Communications Council, Sarkozi regularly volunteers to assist with social media for Women in Auto Care.
Female Shop Owner of the Year: Julie Holmes
Following a successful legal career, Holmes became co-CEO of Virginia Tire & Auto after her mother and father founded the company more than 45 years ago.
She’s run the store for the past decade and a half, and is a strong advocate for more women to join the industry.
Women of Excellence
Lauren McCullough
Tromml, a startup helping provide data to auto parts businesses, was founded by Lauren McCullough, who also serves as its current CEO.
In the past two years, McCullough has participated with groups such as Women in Auto Care, YANG, SEMA, and MEMA.
“For me, this award is all about celebrating the people who push each other forward, share ideas, and work together to make this industry better every day,” said McCullough.
Christine Mobley
One of the founding members of the Women in Auto Care HR Business Exchange Connection Circle, Mobley is the vice president of talent management and belonging for Dorman
Products.
Mobley was also spotlighted in an “Empower Half-Hour” segment for Women in Auto Care members for the work she’s done to support social media, scholarships, and industry events.
Jillian Weishaar
Weishaar is the manager of education and diversity and inclusion for Parts Authority, and is the first to ever fill this role.
Since joining Parts Authority, Weishaar has overseen the development of a customized Learning Management System at Parts Authority, and has been named a Mort Schwartz Excellence in Education Award winner and a member of the Auto Care Association Education Committee.
Company Ally of the Year: Parts Authority
For its commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment, Parts Authority has been named the Company Ally of the Year.
Women in Auto Care Champion of the Year: Anna Gluck
Gluck has 23 years of experience working as an HR executive, and has overseen the implementation of career advancement and workplace recognition programs. She was also named a finalist for Crain’s Cleveland HR Innovation Archer Award in 2017.
