A federal agency has opened a probe into over 360,000 Ford vehicles over reports of loss of braking, reports Reuters.
This past Friday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced it would be opening a preliminary evaluation into 368,309 crossover SUVs from the automaker over a loss of braking.
Included in the probe are model year 2015-2017 Ford Edge crossovers. The problem is caused by a rear brake hose failure, which Ford Edges had been previously recalled for in 2020 alongside the Lincoln MKX.
In addition, reports detailed that no warning was given before a loss of braking occurs, and will lead to a longer stopping distance.
