Kost Tire and Auto Service is partnering with Penn State Scranton to provide students, faculty, and staff with free winter car checks, according to a news release.

Beginning at 10 a.m. today, technicians with Kost will be on campus, in the Dawson Building parking lot, ready to offer inspections.

In addition to performing safety checks, technicians will go over essential vehicle maintenance and safety with drivers, such as performing safety checks before trips and how to change a tire.

One of Kost’s techs will do a live winter check demonstration as part of the event. Representatives from State Farm Insurance will also be present to conduct car seat safety checks.

“We want to equip people with the knowledge to stay safe on the road,” told Kost Director of Public Relations Richard Suraci.
