A Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchisee in Wisconsin is looking to launch a new location in the state, Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune reports.
The new location is slated for the town of Wisconsin Rapids, on the edge of the former parking lot for a now-closed Shopko department store. The Valvoline will be on the corner of 12 Street South and East Riverview Expressway and neighbored by Tidal Wave Auto Spa.
According to earlier reporting, the facility will measure roughly 2,000 square feet. An opening date has not been released, but Richards has said it will likely open sometime this year.
Arizona-based Cool Investment LLC purchased the former Shopko building and lot in April 2022, and the Valvoline has been the second development planned for the property, according to Cool Investment partner Tom Richards. Valvoline currently operates locations in about 30 other cities throughout Wisconsin.
