Timely Tire in Vermont Offers Free Vehicle Service to Those in Need
The owner of Timely Tire in Vermont is looking to use his services to help those in the community struggling to pay for vehicle maintenance, My NBC 5 reports.
Ari Moskowitz, owner of Timely Tire in Burlington, has seen those in his community struggling with finances and how it can affect the safety of their vehicles. For those who can’t afford regular vehicle maintenance, it can result in them jeopardizing their and others’ safety.
“There are a lot of people who are struggling financially and, in the neighborhood, and surrounding communities and they’re driving in unsafe vehicles,” explained Moskowitz.
Moskowitz thought of a way he could help relieve some of the burden on those facing a difficult time. He launched ‘Changes for Change,’ a program that provides free auto service to those facing financial hardship in the area.
To apply for the service, applicants are only required to share why they feel they need the service and are encouraged to include any available references with the application.
Moskowitz and his business will then visit program recipients at their homes to perform jobs such as oil changes, brake maintenance, and tire mounting and balancing.
He is hopeful that the campaign will not only provide locals with safer vehicles, but less financial stress and relief in knowing there is help available.
“There are so many people out there that need our help, and it feels amazing. Giving back, you get tenfold what you give,” said Moskowitz.
