March 7, 2023–An automotive service center in Tyler, Texas has attracted attention for its 1950s-themed store, the Tyler Morning Telegraph reports.
Michael and Charlisha Spier are the owners of Fifties Oil Change and Service Center, which they opened this past December.
Michael takes care of the repair side of the business and Charlisha oversees the appearance of the store and all the areas customers will interact with.
Charlisha has over 30 years of experience being a customer service representative and has a passion for interior design.
The lobby has “a diecast matchbox car collection on display” and “free coffee, popcorn, snacks and different candies from the '50s.”
The shop hosts community events such as “Fun Fridays” where customers may play games and compete for discounts on their service, and every customer that comes in for an oil change receives “a special gift.” A malt and shake shop is planned to soon be added to the shop as well.
Michael said his wife “has always been a people lover” and that their “no. 1 goal is to take care of our customers and their cars. If somebody needs prayer, we will pray for them. We truly care about people first and then their vehicles second.”
