Oct. 15, 2021—RelaDyne on Thursday announced it had acquired Chicago-based lubricant distributor Enterprise Oil Co.
According to a news release, the acquisition helps RelaDyne expand its presence in Chicago, which it considers to be one of its "core markets." In addition to furthering RelaDyne's relationships with companies such as Ford Motorcraft and Castrol, it also provides the Cincinnati-based company to enter the aviation market with Enterprise's Eastman products.
The combination of Enterprise with RelaDyne will greatly expand our existing custom blending business and provides a great opportunity for us to expand our relationship with Ford Motorcraft, Castrol, and Eastman," RelaDyne CEO Larry Stoddard said. "Most importantly, we are thrilled to welcome the Enterprise Oil Co. team to the RelaDyne family!”
Enterprise was found in 1988, and owner Kyle Kruke said in the release the "strategic alignment" will ensure a "future full of opportunities for our customers, suppliers, and associates."
