May 3, 2022—Dutch's Auto Service Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin, is proud to be a shop where women feel empowered, according to an article by Spectrum News 1.
“It’s not about fingernails and high heels. We do what we do and we are straightforward and honest about it,” said co-owner Nan Mortenson in the article.
Mortenson has been in the industry for 35 years, and with her co-owner Crystal Rossman they have been encouraging women to get educated on and involved with the auto repair trade for a decade.
“We do a lot of regular maintenance, oil changes, brakes, suspension, tune-ups,” co-owner Crystal Rossman said in the article.
At Dutch's, the focus is on the customer experience and making sure that the people they help walk away knowing more than they did when they came in, and feel good about it.
“When I first came across Dutch‘s, I left wanting to scream and let everyone know amazing this place is,” Robyn Roberts. a Dutch's customer, said in the article. “I feel like it was important for Nan to let to make sure I knew what was happening and I was empowered about what was going on in my car.”
