iFLEX at The Car Wash Show

March 1, 2020

Read what AOCA board members have to say about the organization and iFLEX at The Car Wash Show.

Have you signed up for iFLEX at The Car Wash Show? This year, we have an education line up that you won’t want to miss. Our sessions will cover weights and measures compliance, leadership, motor oil trends and how to increase your profits.

This year, we will have an AOCA Talk Live with industry experts from all over the country. This one-hour, interactive panel discussion will provide an opportunity for idea sharing and best practices for successful business operations. Find out what’s new, what’s working and what to avoid in your shop!

Before you spend three days filled with education, you’ll want to take the opportunity to network at our reception on Sunday, April 5. AOCA will be hosting a member’s reception at the Marriott Riverwalk from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Filled with food, fun and dancing, you will want to be there!

Management Courses

Get up to speed with AOCA’s Management Courses! Our Management Courses will help you and your managers develop skills in planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. Effective management is crucial to your success and AOCA offers two days of extensive instruction that will benefit new and experienced managers, as well as owners.

Our instructor, Kevin Davis, formerly served on AOCA’s Board of Directors, and is a certified John Maxwell teacher and speaker. He is the owner of Fast Change Lube and Oil and operates 20 locations.

Mark your calendars because we’ve finalized locations for our other two courses for the year:

  • Dallas, TX- September 1 and 2

  • Nashville, TN- November 17 and 18

Meet The AOCA Board

Each Board Member brings a different perspective to the fast lube industry. Whether it’s growing up in the industry or being hired right out of college, they know what steps to take when entering the fast lube industry. With their expertise, they gave us advice for people that want to join the fast lube industry. Check out what a few of our board members had to say:

“Be honest, give the best customer service, and use AOCA to help your business succeed.”

-Sue Ackley

“Join AOCA, do your homework and find experienced suppliers, operators and other people that will help you start and build correctly.”

-Dave Everett

“We all continue to learn every day, so I would say to stay humble, kind, and keep ourselves educated as much as possible. Also, to stay close with those in our network and to collaborate with as many entrepreneur’s and those who are in the industry.”

-Amber Kossak

“Be the greatest at a few, focused things that your customers really need versus good at the few things you think they want.”

-Jeff Malicote
