Facility Opens for Business this Week, Grand Opening Event Scheduled for May 12, 2018
Businessman Keith Alley, who spent years as an executive in the mining industry, was looking to shift gears when he retired and put his years of experience to work running his own business.
Alley crossed paths with Meineke Car Care Centers, and soon, he was a new franchisee opening his first Meineke location at 920 Commercial Drive, Richmond, KY 40475. It is the first Meineke location in Richmond and the third in the Lexington metro market. Meineke offers total automotive repair services, including tune-ups, diagnostic analysis, oil changes, tire and wheel services, exhaust and catalytic converter repairs, springs, batteries and air-conditioning service. In addition, Meineke offers fleet service, shuttle service and discounts for Veterans and senior citizens, as well as the Meineke Credit Card that can help users get the auto repairs they need now.
The new Meineke location in Richmond had operated as a repair facility for the past 14 years, and Alley conducted a full exterior and interior restoration when he purchased it. He added stonework, elevated the front of the building for visibility, painted and updated the five service bays inside and out. He also renovated the lobby to enhance the experience for customers waiting for their vehicles to be serviced.
One thing Alley didn’t change was the seasoned team of technicians that had worked at the previous facility. They continue to deliver excellent service and repairs, but Alley did have the opportunity to expand and hire new team members, too.
