Nov. 19, 2019—Nissan is recalling approximately 400,000 cars due to concerns that a braking system defect could lead to a car fire. The brake fluid leak could potentially lead to a fire, reported Reuters.
If the warning to drivers is ignored, the leak could lead to an electrical short in the actuator circuit.
The recall includes Maxima sedans from 2016 through 2018, Infiniti QX60 luxury crossovers from 2017 to 2019, Murano SUVs from 2015 to 2018 and Pathfinder SUVs from 2017 to 2019.
Improper inspections of brakes, steering wheels, speed measurements and vehicle stability had also caused the company to issue a recall of several thousand vehicles in Japan late last year
