The new BendPak lift system helps service a large range of vehicles.

New electric vehicles are announced regularly and are gaining traction in the marketplace. While this technology is new and exciting, it’s important for the professionals who will inevitably have to repair these vehicles to have the right tools and equipment to do so safely and effectively. Thankfully trusted equipment manufacturers like BendPak are providing solutions for electric vehicle repair.

BendPak recently introduced a patent-pending new SL24EVT EV battery pack and powertrain lifting system that helps technicians safely and efficiently remove, service and install heavy battery packs from a wide range of electric vehicles. Recognizing that internal combustion vehicles will continue to dominate roads for years to come, BendPak designed the SL24EVT to do double duty as a powertrain lift for internal combustion vehicles.

The SL24EVT is compact and portable, with a pallet-jack type steering wheel and oversized urethane casters engineered to provide unparalleled maneuverability anywhere in the shop, even in tight spaces. With a press of the button, the SL24EVT elevates to more than 6 feet in less than 20 seconds. The lift table supports an industry-leading 2,400 pounds on its oversized 40 x 60-inch cushioned rubber platform, providing stability for handling bulky EV battery packs.

The SL24EVT is not only useful for servicing EV batteries and powertrains, but through available add-ons, the lift can handle a variety of different components. To support heavy and awkward components there is a telescoping arm kit. A multi-point adapter can support components like axles, transfer cases and bumpers. There is also a tilt deck when a more precise alignment is needed, and other fixtures and other adapters to expand the use of the lift.
