March 25, 2021—Rislone is marking 100 years in business in 2021, according to a press release.
The company says it first launched its additive to help piston ring seals, as it was common at the time to tear down engines every 2,000 to 3,000 miles to reseat the rings. From Polar expeditions to racetracks in the ensuing decades, Rislone grew its business.
“As vehicle design has evolved over the last century, Rislone has kept pace. We continuously improve our products to meet the needs of our customers, whether they’re daily-drivers, enthusiasts, race teams or weekend warriors,” company president Carrie Mermuys said in the release.
