March 30, 2021—The Senate has voted and approved an extension to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), Fox Business reported.

The bill, which earlier received house approval, will push back the March 31 deadline back for two months, giving businesses more time to apply for the funds. President Biden has indicated he will sign the bill this week, the report said. The vote was approved 92-7 in the Senate.

As of March 28, over $200 billion of PPP loans have been approved in 2021. Over the life of the program, more than $700 billion has been approved.
