Pro Football Player's Car Wash a Tough Sell

June 7, 2021
A review board could approve one of many car wash locations that are co-owned by a professional football player.

June 7, 2021—The Wichita Eagle reports that plans for a car wash co-owned by Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has run into some opposition at the planning board level.

Four buildings were sold and demolished for the potential Club Car Wash in the Kansas town, where there are already two other locations and four more in the works.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission is in the review process for the facility, but area residents aren't sold on a car wash in their neighborhood. Environmental concerns are at the top of the list.
