Jan. 24, 2022—Valvoline could bring a new quick lube shop to a town in northwestern California.
According to a report from the Ukiah Daily Journal, the Ukiah Planning Commission is scheduled to meet Jan. 26 to decide whether it will allow a "Valvoline quick lube" facility to be built in the town, which is around 115 miles northwest of San Francisco.
The facility, if approved, would have three bays and room to hold 12 cars in a queue, as well as a 2,137-square-foot basement pit.
Per the report, the only initial concern that planning commission members had about the proposal was the potential for lines to spill out onto Airport Park Boulevard, though staff said the space allotted for 12 cars in the back seems to mitigate that concern.
