Dec. 5, 2022—Multiple Louisiana Take 5 Oil Change locations are accepting donations for a holiday toy drive, according to KSLA News 12.
The toy drive runs until Dec. 17 at two locations in Shreveport, one location in Bossier City and another in Minden. The toy drive benefits Shriners Hospital for Children.
Don Caldwell is a shop manager at the Take 5 on Youree Drive in Shreveport. His wife and children have had procedures performed at Shriners, so the cause is close to his heart. Additionally, Take 5's district manager has immediate family that has been treated at the hospital. These connections inspired Take 5 to give back.
“They’ve always been a real good hospital, real caring, taking care of the children, taking care of the parents and you know, we wanted to give back to them,” said Caldwell to KSLA News 12.
When a customer donates a toy at participating locations, they can get 25% off an oil change.
